A 27 mile walk from Cardiff to Merthyr Tydfil, Wales

As lead artist for Red Route, an annual marathon length walk bringing creative interventions to the workers pathway from the valleys to the capital, Vivian Ross-Smith lead with celebration. At the beginning and end of the 27 miles, 6am and 6pm, the group danced a traditional Scottish dance, Strip The Willow. Bringing joy and energy to weary bones and tired legs, the dance highlighted the interwoven nature of community and collective action.
